Luz’s father died when she was four years old. All her life she was told he was a world-famous performance artist. But in her sophomore year of high school, a friend shows her an online theory stating that her father was a serial killer. Determined to learn the truth, Luz visits his grave and meets a man who gives her a book. The Vampire's Guide to Dreaming, supposedly written by her father, describes a system for using dreams to transform into a sinister superbeing. Through journal entries, Luz documents the strange and dangerous events that shatter her life thereafter.
